Transport

What ferry should I catch if I'm coming from Auckland City?

We recommend catching the 1:00pm ferry on Fullers which will arrive at the Matiatia Ferry Terminal at around 1:50pm. Fuller ferries can be pre-booked on their website - we recommend pre-booking to guarantee a spot. Our shuttle busses will leave from the ferry terminal once the ferry arrives. We will be monitoring the ferries in case of any delays.

Waiheke Ferry Discount

Show the invitation, on the right, at the Fullers ticket office for a 15% discount on ferry fares the week of the wedding (Auckland City to Waiheke). Only valid the week of the wedding and for foot passengers only.

Dress Attire

For all guests - please note the venue includes grass and gravel, so wear footwear you feel comfortable in.

Women

Women are invited to wear summer cocktail attire that is light, elegant, comfortable, and season-appropriate. Kindly avoid wearing white 🤍

Men

Men are invited to dress in summer cocktail, smart casual attire with a relaxed vibe. Suit jackets are optional and not required.

FAQ

Can I drive to Man O' War?

You are welcome to drive your own car or hire a car to Man O' War Vineyard. If you plan to do so please let us know as there is limited parking. It is worth noting that the road to Man O' War is a winding gravel road with no lighting.

Do I need a visa to travel to NZ?

If you're not a New Zealand citizen, you will need to obtain a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) before traveling to New Zealand. Passport Validity: Must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from New Zealand. Application Process: Online via the official Immigration New Zealand website or through the NZeTA mobile app Processing Time: Typically within 72 hours, though we recommend applying early.

Gifts?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. We are so grateful, some of you are making the journey to Waiheke Island, and others are travelling all the way to New Zealand, to celebrate with us! We feel truly blessed to have everything we need, so please know that gifts are absolutely not necessary. If you would like to give something, a monetary gift would be warmly appreciated, but above all, we are thrilled to share this special day with you.

Accommodation Recommendations?

Waiheke Island We've organized shuttles to Man O' War for the wedding day, so we recommend booking around Palm Beach, Oneroa, or Onetangi beaches. Look at the Transport section for more information on the pick-up and drop-off points. This part of the island is also well connected by public transport. See the Transport section for information on how to get to the island. Auckland We recommend looking around the CBD, Ponsonby, Mount Eden or Parnell for easy access to everything. Auckland is well connected on public transport that can easily get you to the Waiheke ferry terminal. Taxis, Uber, and car rentals are also great options to explore the city and surrounding area.

Things to do?

Auckland The City of Sails! Enjoy the waterfront walk along the waterfront and check out some of the shops in Britomart. Walk to the summit of Mt. Eden, check out the shops and restaurants along Ponsonby Road, or spend some time at Auckland Domain and the Auckland War Memorial Museum. We also recommend making a day trip out to Piha and the west coast beaches. Waiheke Island Truly embodying 'island time' - Waiheke is an escape only a ferry ride away. For the Vancouver folks, imagine if Bowen Island had more sun, great beaches, and beautiful wineries. For something unique to do, look into a winery tour, or even a fishing charter complete with a snorkle or swim off the boat.
